Tired of expensive perfumes that vanished by noon. Tired of smelling like everyone else. Tired of buying into the idea that attraction is something you can pour from a designer bottle.
Where it started — honestly? It started with a bad date.
One of our founders spent way too much on a perfume before a first date. Spritzed it on before leaving the house. Felt incredible. Walked in, said hello, and within an hour it was gone. Completely. Like it was never there.
She went home smelling like nothing and feeling like she’d been sold a lie. So she started asking questions. Why do alcohol-based perfumes fade so fast? What actually makes a scent last on skin? And what is it about certain people that draws others in?
Those questions became an obsession. And that obsession became Goda.
“We didn’t start with a vision board and a mood palette. We started with frustration and a lot of very weird reading about human chemistry.”
What we found — the science was real, but nobody was being honest about it.
Alcohol fades faster than you think
Most traditional perfumes are made with a high alcohol content. While alcohol helps project the scent initially, it evaporates quickly — along with much of the fragrance itself. Oil-based formulas behave differently: they blend with your skin instead of sitting on top of it.
Fragrance becomes personal on your skin
No fragrance smells identical on two people, because your skin chemistry changes everything. Your body’s natural oils, warmth and pH subtly shape how a scent develops over time. Instead of fighting that chemistry, we formulate with it.
We approach pheromones with honesty
Human pheromone science is still evolving, and we believe honesty matters more than hype. We don’t claim magic formulas or instant attraction. What we’ve created is a carefully balanced blend designed to work alongside your body’s own chemistry.
The name — we named it after a feeling.
Goda. It’s a Malay word. It means to entice — to draw someone in without them quite knowing why. Not manipulation. Not trickery. That pull you feel toward someone before a word has been spoken.
We chose it because it captures exactly what we were trying to bottle. Not a scent that announces itself. A scent that makes people lean closer, without knowing why they did.
That’s the only kind of attraction worth creating.
What it actually is — not your usual perfume. And that’s the point.
Goda isn’t alcohol-based. It’s oil. That’s the first thing people notice when they try it: it goes on differently. Softer. Warmer. It doesn’t hit you hard out of the bottle and then disappear — it settles into your skin and becomes part of you.
